January 30, 2013 is a very important date in North Carolina.
We will be conducting a Point-in-Time Count. This count is important to all communities.
In an effort to provide needed services for the homeless in
our area we take a count of those who are homeless and ask where they
will be sleeping on that night, which provides a snapshot of those who
experience homelessness throughout the year.
The Point-in-Time Count is a one-day, unduplicated count of
sheltered and unsheltered homeless individuals and families in the country.
If you would like to be involved with the PIT count in
Hickory, there will be a training session this Wednesday, January 16th. For
information please email me at paulaheilbrun@hotmail.com.
